69-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle vs Sedan Collision near Swan Road

TUCSON, AZ (February 12, 2025) – Friday afternoon, Nicholas Jeffers was killed in a motorcycle accident on Golf Links Road.

The incident happened around 3:00 p.m., at the 3900 block of Golf Links Road near Swan Road.

Reports indicate that Jeffers was riding his 2018 Indian motorcycle westbound when he collided with the rear of a 2013 Volkswagen Passat.

Emergency responders rushed 69-year-old Jeffers to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the 81-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was not injured. Police investigations revealed that Jeffers lost control of his speed as he approached the on-ramp to Aviation Highway-Alvernon Way.

Authorities also found that the Volkswagen had stopped in the roadway between the on-ramps, which contributed to the crash.

Investigators are currently involved in a detailed investigation of the crash and will reveal more information as it becomes known.
