19-Year-Old Female Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Collision near Dunlap Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (February 12, 2025) – Friday morning, a deadly motorcycle accident on 35th Avenue claimed the life of Mea Ortiz.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m., at the intersection of 35th and Dunlap Avenue on January 31st.
According to the Phoenix Police troopers, 19-year-old Ortiz was riding her motorcycle in the eastbound lanes of Dunlap Avenue when a vehicle turned in front of her and crashed.
Furthermore, Ortiz sustained life-threatening injuries, and paramedics transported her to the hospital. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
Meanwhile, the driver involved remained and cooperated with the investigators. Impairment was not suspected to be a factor in the crash, and further investigation is still ongoing.
