One Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision near Barton Springs Road

AUSTIN, TX (February 12, 2025) – Monday afternoon, one victim was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Azie Morton Road.

Authorities responded to the 700 block of Azie Morton Road near Barton Springs Road and Zilker Metropolitan Park on February 3rd.

Upon arrival, first responders located a man with critical injuries. Paramedics quickly transported the man to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police believed that the man was hit by a vehicle which left the scene. Crews are now investigating the incident as a homicide.

Further investigation into the fatal pedestrian accident on Azie Morton Road is still ongoing.
