2 Pronounced Dead after Head-On Crash near Farm-to-Market Road 136

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (February 10, 2025) – Sunday, Richard Rodeman and Christopher Lepine were killed in a head-on collision on Highway 188.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., near Farm-to-Market Road 136 on January 26th.

According to reports, 45-year-old Rodeman was driving a vehicle with his passenger, 23-year-old Shaleigha Rada, in the southbound lanes.

Rodeman then veered over the center line and crossed into the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with 36-year-old Lepine.

Due to the impact of the crash, both vehicles were heavily damaged, and Rodeman and Lepine suffered critical injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, Rodeman and Lepine succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, Rada sustained serious wounds and was taken to Spohn Shoreline for further treatment. Police then blocked the intersection for nearly four hours while they cleared the scene.

All lanes were operable, and further investigation is currently ongoing.
