Byung Chul Kim Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 60 Freeway [Hacienda Heights, CA]
Vehicle Pile-Up near Hacienda Boulevard Off-Ramp Left One Dead
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA (February 10, 2025) – Late Tuesday morning, a multi-vehicle crash on the 60 Freeway took the life of Byung Chul Kim.
Emergency officials responded to the collision around 11:00 a.m., along the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway at the Hacienda Boulevard off-ramp.
At this time, the circumstances that led up to the incident remain unclear. Footage from the crash revealed at least one semi-truck involved in the wreck.
Upon arrival of the first responders, they pronounced one person dead at the scene. Later, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased person as 65-year-old Byung Chul Kim.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department also reported one person requiring extrication from one of the vehicles.
