Fatality Reported after Pedestrian Accident near Candelaria Road

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (February 10, 2025) – Wednesday evening, one person was killed in a pedestrian collision on Tramway Boulevard.

Police officers responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m., near Candelaria Road on January 22nd.

Investigators say the driver of a vehicle applied his brakes but was not able to avoid hitting the pedestrian on time.

After the impact, the driver parked his vehicle at the intersection of Tramway Boulevard and Menaul Boulevard. He remained and cooperated with them.

Due to the impact of the crash, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim as of this time.

At this time, it was unknown of the driver faced any charges, and an active investigation into the fatal pedestrian collision on Tramway Boulevard is still ongoing. Once available, further details will be provided.
