HOUSTON, TX (February 6, 2025) – Early Sunday, one woman was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pickup-truck collision on Westheimer Road.

First responders received calls in the 7400 block of Westheimer Road near Fondren Road just before 3:20 a.m., on January 26th.

Investigators say the 27-year-old female driver of a sedan was heading west and attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection. There, the driver of an eastbound pickup-truck crashed into the sedan.

Upon impact, the pickup-truck driver exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Responding paramedics arrived and transported the severely injured woman to a nearby hospital where she later passed away. Although, authorities have not yet released her name or place of residency.

At this time, the identity of the woman was not yet made public, and no information about the suspect was available. Further investigation into the deadly pickup-truck collision on Westheimer Road is still underway.
