Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Varner Road

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (February 6, 2025) – Early Monday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Palm Drive.

Authorities responded to the scene around 5:00 a.m., just south of Varner Road. 

Upon arrival, the Desert Hot Springs Police Department officers located the victim lying on the road. 

Investigators claimed the female pedestrian was already in the roadway at the time of the collision. 

Despite the first responder’s life-saving efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her name remains undisclosed to the public at this time. 

Police said the driver involved remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with the investigation.
