Two Hospitalized after Semi-Truck Collision near Oak Street

BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 6, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, a three-vehicle big-rig crash on 24th Street sent two people to a hospital.

Officials responded to the scene around 1:25 p.m., in the area of 24th Street at Oak Street, near Olive Street. 

Based on the initial report, a semi-truck crashed with two other vehicles in the westbound lanes of 24th Street. 

The impact of the crash pinned a victim in one of the cars involved. Firefighters cut one of the vehicle’s doors to extricate a victim from the wreckage. 

In addition, responding authorities also reported a gray vehicle with damages on the driver’s side. 

In total, at least two people were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. 

The Bakersfield Police Department does not suspect speeding and intoxication to be a factor in the incident. More details surrounding the 24th Street three-vehicle crash will be provided once available.
