Motorcycle-Pickup Collision at Rancho Santa Fe Road Resulted in Fatality
SAN MARCOS, CA (February 6, 2025) – Early Monday, a person was killed in a motorcycle accident on State Route 78 in San Diego’s North County.
CHP responded to the collision shortly after 4:30 a.m., along westbound State Route 78 at Rancho Santa Fe Road.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a motorcyclist had collided with a Toyota Tacoma pickup-truck for reasons unknown.
Responding emergency personnel pronounced one person dead at the scene. Police reported no other injuries from the incident.
In the end, the CHP issued a SigAlert along State Route 78 near San Marcos as crews cleared the scene.
San Marcos Officials will provide more information about the fatal motorcycle crash once the investigation has concluded.
