TUOLUMNE COUNTY, CA (February 5, 2025) – Police arrested Jon Olson Saturday, after a crash on Highway 108 that injured Deputy Andrew Munoz

Officials responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m., in the area of Highway 108 and Rawhide Road.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that a 2003 GMC Yukon veered into the path of a 2018 Ford Explorer patrol vehicle.

Responding paramedics said the deputy in the patrol SUV, 30-year-old Deputy Andrew Munoz, was transported to a hospital for minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the Yukon driver, identified as 72-year-old Jon William Olson of Jamestown, was treated and arrested for suspicion of DUI.
