Hoang Mai Phan Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on North Euclid Street [Santa Ana, CA]
Motorcycle Vs. Pedestrian Collison near Hazard Avenue Left 58-Year-Old Garden Grove Man Dead
SANTA ANA, CA (February 5, 2025) – Sunday evening, Hoang Mai Phan was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on North Euclid Avenue.
Police officers responded to the 1000 block of North Euclid Street near Hazard Avenue around 7:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a southbound motorcyclist hit a man walking in an easterly direction on Euclid Street.
Despite the life-saving efforts of the first responders, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Officers said the motorcyclist involved stayed at the site of the incident and cooperated with the investigators.
The Orange County coroner later identified the deceased victim as 58-year-old Hoang Mai Phan of Garden Grove.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs as a factor behind the incident.
Santa Ana Officials are asking those who witnessed the deadly motorcycle-pedestrian crash to call the SAPD Traffic Division at 714-245-8200.
