One Pronounced Dead, Suspect at Large after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision near Ken Street
AUSTIN, TX (February 4, 2025) – Sunday evening, one pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on North Lamar Boulevard.
First responders arrived to the 10200 block of North Lamar Boulevard near Ken Street on January 26th after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Upon arrival, troopers learned that the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the southbound lanes. The driver then fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Despite life-saving efforts, the involved pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. No identity was released by the authorities as of this time.
Emergency crews also shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
Further investigation is still ongoing, and witnesses are urged to contact the APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-8111. Once available, further details will be provided about the deadly hit-and-run crash on North Lamar Boulevard.
