3 Teens Dead, Two Hospitalized Two-Vehicle Crash near Lake Road

GILROY, CA (February 4, 2025) – Tuesday night, a head-on crash on Shore Road killed Brandon Alarcon, Victor Lujan, and Anzhel Villegas-Lemus

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:55 p.m., near Lake Road just west of Dunneville.

Investigators say the driver of a westbound vehicle lost control and veered into oncoming lanes. The wrong-way vehicle then collided head-on with an eastbound car.

The three teens inside the westbound vehicle sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The San Benito County officials later identified the deceased victims as Anzhel Villegas-Lemus, 17, Victor Lujan, 17, and Brandon Alarcon, 18.

An 18-year-old inside the westbound vehicle and the 27-year-old woman driving the eastbound remained hospitalized in stable condition.

California Highway Patrol officers claimed that all three teens who died in the crash were students at Hollister High School.

Officials are asking those who witnessed the fatal head-on crash to call the CHP Hollister-Gilroy Area office at (408) 427-0700.
