One Dead, Two Hurt after Multi-Car Collision near Lone Road
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (February 4, 2025) – Monday night, one person died and two others were hurt in a three-vehicle crash on Jackson Road.
Dispatchers received calls around 6:45 p.m., near Lone Road.
California Highway Patrol officers say the driver of a Toyota Rav-4 stopped at a stop-sign before turning left, directly into the path of a westbound Buick Encore on Jackson Road.
The impact of the crash caused the Buick to veer into the eastbound lanes of Jackson where it collided head-on with a Ford F-150.
Responding emergency personnel declared the man driving the Buick dead at the scene. The Sacramento County coroner’s office will release the identity of the deceased victim once available.
The female driver of the F-150 suffered major injuries and remained at a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, paramedics treated the Toyota driver at the scene for minor injuries.
Sacramento County Officials do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the collision. The CHP closed both sides of Jackson Way to investigate the three-vehicle crash.
