14-Year-Old Injured in Pedestrian Vs. Sedan Collision near Alder Street

PACIFIC GROVE, CA (February 3, 2025) – Saturday, Icaro Fernandes was arrested after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Lighthouse Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:00 p.m., near Alder Street.

Police officers say the driver of an eastbound blue Toyota Prius struck a teenager running in a south direction on Lighthouse Avenue. Afterward, the Prius drove away from the scene and headed towards Monterey. 

First responders treated the 14-year-old boy at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

On Sunday, authorities located the suspect with the help of a good Samaritan who provided the suspect’s license plate. 

Authorities arrested and booked 36-year-old Icaro Fernandes of Marina into Monterey County Jail for felony hit-and-run.
