40-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Garbage-Truck Crash near Rose Lane

BEAUMONT, TX (February 3, 2025) – Late Tuesday morning, Brandon Pitri was killed in a tow-truck collision on Highway 90.

Police officers responded to the scene around 11:50 a.m., near Rose Lane on January 28th.

Investigators say Pitri was driving a tow-truck and lost control before rear-ending a garbage-truck in the eastbound lanes.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 40-year-old Pitri dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the truck driver and his passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to St Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

No other information was added, and the Texas Department of Public Safety is handling further investigation.
