Juvenile Dead, Several Hospitalized after SUV vs Car Collision near 25th Street East

PALMDALE, CA (January 30, 2025) – Saturday morning, a young girl died and five others were hurt in a red-light crash on Highway 138.

Police officers responded to the scene around 11:00 p.m., near 25th Street East after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Investigators say the driver of a northbound 2022 gray Subaru Outback traveled through a red-light at the intersection.

As a result, the driver of an eastbound 2014 Toyota Camry that was traveling through a green light, broadsided the Outback.

Paramedics transported a total of six people to two hospitals for further treatment.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced a 6-year-old female occupant from one of the vehicles deceased.

In addition, five others suffered minor to major injuries as a result of the impact.

Officers ask those with additional information about the fatal red-light crash on Highway 138 to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
