37-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Bell Street

AMARILLO, TX (January 30, 2025) – Monday afternoon, Dylan Thomas Bird was killed in a 2-car accident on Hillside Road.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 1:40 p.m., at the 5300 block of Hillside Road near Bell Street on January 13th.

Per reports, Bird was driving a 2015 Subaru east when he made an unsafe lane change maneuver. The Subaru then struck a 2012 Ford Focus, driven by a 31-year-old man.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 37-year-old Bird dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics took a child passenger inside his vehicle, as well as the Ford driver, to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
