Jennifer James Killed in Fiery Semi-Truck Crash on Interstate 35 [McLennan County, TX]

39-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Fiery Tractor-Trailer Collision near Mile Marker 326
MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX (January 29, 2025) – Wednesday morning, Jennifer James was killed in a fiery semi-truck crash on Interstate 35.
Police officers responded to the northbound lanes of the freeway around 6:00 a.m., near mile marker 326 on January 15th.
According to Department of Public Safety Sergeant Ryan Howard, the collision involved three 18-wheeler semi-trucks and six passenger vehicles.
Investigators say one of the trucks failed to control its speed and crashed into the surrounding vehicles.
As a result, one of the semi-trucks was fully engulfed in flames. The Robinson Fire Department units were dispatched to extinguish the fire before it spread further.
Eventually, one woman was declared dead at the scene, and she was identified as 39-year-old James. Paramedics transported at least six people to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest for further treatment of their injuries.
Consequently, troopers blocked the northbound lanes and directed the motorists to Sun Valley Boulevard and Spring Valley Road exit. All lanes have been reopened since.
Further investigation is being handled by the Texas Department of Transportation.
