82-Year-Old Man Dies in Big-Rig Accident near Rolke Ranch Road

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TX (January 28, 2025) – Thursday morning, Hugh Hall was killed in a semi-truck collision on Highway 79.

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:35 a.m., near Rolke Ranch Road on January 9th.

Investigators say Hall was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 south and veered into the northbound lanes. As a result, the Ford collided head-on with an oncoming northbound 2010 Freightliner.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 82-year-old Hall, of Gatesville deceased.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the driver of the semi-truck to St. Joseph Hospital for further treatment of his injuries. No other information was added, and the crash is under active investigation.
