22-Year-Old Rider Fatally Struck in Speeding Motorcycle Collision near Desert Drive
TEMPE, AZ (January 28, 2025) – Early Saturday morning, Andrew Munoz was pronounced dead after a motorcycle crash on 56th Street.
The Tempe Police Department responded to the scene shortly before 7:00 a.m., near Desert Drive on January 18th.
For reasons under investigation, a vehicle and a motorcyclist collided in the area.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the rider dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the deceased victim as 22-year-old Munoz.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Following clearing operations, police officers determined that speed on the rider’s part was a suspected factor.
No additional information was added, and an active investigation took place.
