Driver Arrested after Deadly SUV vs Motorcycle Accident near Shady Lane
EL CAJON, CA (January 28, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, one victim was killed and a child was injured in a DUI collision on East Main Street.
First responders arrived to the 1200 block of East Main Street near Shady Lane around 4:14 p.m.
Responding personnel say the driver of an eastbound Chevrolet Suburban entered the turn lane directly in front of a motorcycle.
Investigators say the motorcyclist was heading west on East Main Street before colliding with the Suburban’s passenger side door.
First responders pronounced the 41-year-old male motorcyclist dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported their juvenile passenger to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego for treatment.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old woman driving the Chevrolet and her passenger remained at the scene. Following preliminary duties, the female driver was eventually arrested for suspicion of DUI.
