Baldwin Park High School Principal and Woman Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Rancho Avenue

RIALTO, CA (January 27, 2025) – Friday evening, Eric Lopez and Faith Manigos were killed in a multi-car crash on 10 Freeway.

Police officers received dispatch calls around 6:00 p.m., just west of Rancho Avenue.

California Highway Patrol officers say the driver of a westbound white Ford F-150 crossed the center divider into the eastbound lanes. The F-150 then collided with a Scion XD and a Tesla Model 3.

Officials also found a silver Toyota Echo and a white Ford Explorer in the wreckage.

Responding paramedics pronounced both the Scion and Tesla drivers dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the Scion driver as 40-year-old Faith C. Manigos, of Redlands.

In addition, the Tesla driver was identified as 55-year-old Eric Lopez of Grand Terrace. Lopez was the principal of Baldwin Park High School for three years, and will be deeply missed by his community.

At this time, Rialto Officials have made no arrests, and no other injuries were reported from the collision.
