Female Cyclist Pronounced Dead after Semi Truck vs Bicycle Collision near Longview Drive

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (January 23, 2025) – Thursday afternoon, a woman was fatally injured in a bicycle accident on Roseville Road. 

Police officers responded to the scene around 2:20 p.m., in the area of Roseville Road at Longview Drive. 

Upon arrival, crews learned that the driver of a northbound semi-truck made a right turn onto Longview Drive. A woman in her 50s riding her bicycle tried to pass the big-rig on the right, causing the truck to hit the bicyclist. 

Responding medical personnel declared the woman dead at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased bicycle once available. 

At this time, the Califonia Highway Patrol does not suspect intoxication to be a factor in the collision.

Once available, North Highlands Officials will provide more information about the deadly Roseville Road bicycle accident.
