42-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Rear-End Accident near Fern Glen

SAN DIEGO, CA (January 23, 2025) – Friday morning, one rider was hospitalized following a motorcycle collision on La Jolla Boulevard.

First responders arrived to the 7100 block of La Jolla, near Fern Glen around 7:50 a.m., on January 3rd.

San Diego Police Officers say the incident involved a 2020 Triumph motorcycle and a 2019 Honda Civic.

Per reports, the motorcyclist was traveling behind the Honda, and attempted to pass the vehicle as it was turning left. However, the rider was unable to do so and struck the left rear of the Honda.

Paramedics arrived and took the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital with a broken femur. Medics say he was forced to undergo surgery due to the extent of his condition.

No other information was released at this time, and further investigation is still ongoing. Witnesses are urged to call the Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
