Unidentified Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Thomas Road

PHOENIX, AZ (January 22, 2025) – Thursday morning, one woman was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on 91st Avenue.

Phoenix Police Officers received calls around 6:30 a.m., near Thomas Road near Banner Estrella Medical Center on December 26th.

Investigators say the driver of an eastbound vehicle struck a female pedestrian at the intersection for reasons unknown. Due to the impact of the crash, medical personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the name or place of residency of the deceased woman.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Emergency crews blocked off the intersection for several hours during cleanup and preliminary duties. No other information was added by investigators, and the deadly collision remains under active investigation.
