81-Year-Old Unidentified Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near Colby Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 22, 2025) – Saturday evening, a man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Silver Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., near Colby Street after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
According to police reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.
Responding officers found the victim lying on the roadway with life-threatening injuries.
Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. However, officials only identified the deceased person as an 81-year-old man.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, police officers have not released any additional information about the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.
