86-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Rear-End Crash near Turner Road

STOCKTON, CA (January 21, 2025) – Early Sunday morning, one man was killed in a DUI rear-end collision on Interstate 5.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene shortly after 2:00 a.m., near Turner Road on January 5th.

Per reports, the incident involved a 2012 Toyota Camry and a 2003 Honda Civic.

Investigators say both vehicles were heading south, and the Camry was traveling at high speeds. The Camry then crashed into the back of the Civic, sending the Civic down an embankment.

According to troopers, the Civic was driven by an 86-year-old man while the Camry was driven by a 29-year-old man.

Due to the impact of the crash, the male Civic driver died at the scene.

Meanwhile, police arrested the Camry driver on suspicion of DUI. No additional information about the crash has been released to the public at this time.
