Pedestrian Dead, Driver Arrested after DUI Accident on Lincoln Avenue [San Jose, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Lonus Road
SAN JOSE, CA (January 20, 2025) – Sunday evening, police arrested a driver after a DUI accident on Lincoln Avenue that killed one pedestrian.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:49 p.m., near Lonus Road.
Upon arrival, police learned that a northbound white 2014 Acura SUV struck a pedestrian outside of a marked crosswalk.
First responders transported the pedestrian to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public.
Following the crash, the involved driver was spotted fleeing from the scene. Eventually, San Jose officers managed to arrest and book the driver into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
