Rider Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Miramar Way

SAN DIEGO, CA (January 20, 2025) – Early Sunday morning, a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 took the life of a motorcyclist.

Around 3:32 a.m., police officers arrived to the northbound lanes of the freeway just south of Miramar Way.

Based on the report, a vehicle rear-ended another car that was stalled on the freeway lanes. The impact pushed one of the vehicles onto the shoulder while a black car lost power and stalled on the road.

Shortly after, a motorcyclist crashed into one of the stalled vehicles. Medics arrived and pronounced the unidentified rider deceased at the scene.

Responding EMTs also transported an occupant from one of the vehicles to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested the driver of the black car for suspicion of DUI. At this time, San Diego Officials continue to investigate the deadly multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 15.
