22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Motorcycle Collision near Chicago Avenue
LUBBOCK, TX (January 15, 2025) – Monday, Maguire Vogel died and Ceaser Espejo was involved in a motorcycle crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway.
Lubbock Police Officers received calls around 5:00 p.m., at the 5300 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway near Chicago Avenue on December 23rd.
Investigators say Vogel and Espejo were riding in the westbound lanes when they collided. The impact caused Vogel to lose control and strike the guardrail, ejecting him onto the road.
Emergency responders transported 22-year-old Vogel to University Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Espejo remained uninjured.
No other information was added by the authorities, and the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit is handling further investigation.
