79-Year-Old Man and 24-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Head-On Crash near Mile Marker 404
CONCHO COUNTY, TX (January 15, 2025) – Wednesday, Cecil Kelley and Marissa Powell were killed in a head-on collision on Farm-to-Market Road 765.
The incident took place near mile marker 404 around 8:30 p.m., on December 25th.
According to authorities, the collision involved a car driven by 24-year-old Powell and a Kia van driven by 79-year-old Cecil with 78-year-old Priscilla Kelley as a passenger.
Per reports, Powell was heading west while Cecil and Priscilla were heading east. For reasons unknown, Powell entered the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with Cecil.
Eventually, Cecil and Powell were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Priscilla sustained serious injuries, and paramedics transported her to Shannon Medical Center.
Furthermore, Powell’s vehicle was engulfed in flames. The Concho County Sheriff’s Office and Wall Volunteer Fire Department responded to clear the scene and conduct further investigation.
