75-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Collision near Stonewall Drive
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 15, 2024) – Cathy Coiner was killed Saturday evening, after a DUI collision on Collett Avenue.
First responders arrived to the scene around 6:30 p.m., near Stonewall Drive.
Officers determined that Coiner was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty and attempted to make a left turn onto Stonewall Drive. There, the Jeep was rear-ended by a gray 2014 Toyota Tundra.
The initial collision pushed the Jeep into oncoming lanes where it collided head-on with a red 2014 Toyota C-HR.
First responders rushed 75-year-old Coiner to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
It is unclear whether the 70-year-old Riverside man driving the Toyota CH-R suffered injuries from the crash.
Meanwhile, authorities booked the 38-year-old Norco man driving the Toyota Tundra into Robert Presley Detention Center for suspected DUI.
