One Killed, Several Injured in Two-Vehicle Hit-and-Run near Thurston Avenue

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA (January 14, 2025) – Wednesday, Kameron Lee Peterson became a suspect after a fatal hit-and-run on Sepulveda Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m., in the 300 block of Sepulveda near Thurston Avenue on January 8th.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that two vehicles collided in the area.

Upon impact, one of the drivers fled the scene on foot and still remains at large. Investigators were able to identify her as 32-year-old Kameron Lee Peterson.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced one victim deceased. Another injured victim had to undergo surgery at a local hospital.

Investigators are still working on the case and will disclose more information about the accident when it becomes available. Meanwhile, Peterson remains at large.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department is asking witnesses of the fatal hit-and-run on Sepulveda Avenue to contact them via email at eyewitness@manhattanbeach.gov or by phone at 310-802-8097, for traffic officer Beranek.
