27-Year-Old Passenger Pronounced Dead after High-Speed Crash near Eldora Road
WESLACO, TX (January 13, 2025) – Sunday morning, Luis Orlando Martinez was killed in a rollover accident on Goolie Road.
The incident happened shortly before 7:00 a.m., just north of Eldora Road on December 22nd.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2017 gray GMC Acadia was occupied by a driver, Martinez, and another passenger.
Investigation shows that the Acadia driver was heading north at high speeds and veered off the roadway. The Acadia then overturned and ejected Martinez and the female passenger onto the road.
At that time, all occupants inside the vehicle were not wearing their seatbelts.
Emergency responders quickly transported all victims to a nearby hospital where 27-year-old Martinez later passed away.
Authorities have refrained from disclosing any further details about the crash.
