42-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead, 1 Hospitalized after Pedestrian Collision on Mission Boulevard
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (January 9, 2025) – Thursday evening, Freddie Medina was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on Soto Avenue.
Police officers arrived to the scene shortly after 6:00 p.m., near Mission Boulevard on January 2nd.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck two pedestrians in the area. Upon arrival, responding personnel located the two victims lying on the roadway.
Emergency responders quickly transported them to a local hospital, where 42-year-old Medina, of Jurupa Valley later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the other pedestrian remains in critical condition.
During cleanup and preliminary duties, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Officers do not believe speed or impairment contributed to the incident.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
