Motorcyclist Killed in Seven-Vehicle Collision near Griffith Park

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 7, 2025) – Saturday morning, one rider was pronounced dead after a motorcycle accident on 5 Freeway. 

Around 7:25 a.m., first responders arrived to the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Griffith Park.

California Highway Patrol officers say a motorcycle, a semi-truck and five other vehicles became involved.

Responding emergency personnel declared one person riding the motorcycle dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Authorities reported no other injuries from the incident. Officers issued a SigAlert around 7:45 a.m., closing the No. 1, 2. and 3 lanes of the 5 Freeway for investigation.
