25-Year-Old Man Dead Pickup Vs. Car Collision near Croddy Way

SANTA ANA, CA (January 2, 2025) – Saturday morning, Reuben Contreras was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Harbor Boulevard. 

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:19 a.m., near Croddy Way.

The Santa Ana Police Department says the driver of a northbound Toyota Camry attempted to make a left turn onto Croddy.

Shortly after, a southbound GMC Sierra hit the Camry, leaving both drivers injured. 

Responding medical personnel declared the Camry driver dead at the scene. The Santa Ana Police Department later identified the deceased motorist as 25-year-old Contreras, of Santa Ana.

Paramedics transported the GMC driver to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the incident.
