56-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Pickup-Truck on Wall Street

MIDLAND, TX (January 2, 2025) – Late Saturday evening, Felipe Silva was killed in a pedestrian collision on South Lamesa Road.

Dispatchers received calls around 10:40 p.m., near Wall Street on December 7th.

According to the Midland Police Department, the driver of a northbound 2007 GMC pickup-truck headed was traveling in the 100 block of South Lamesa Road.

There, the GMC struck 56-year-old Silva, who was in the center lane.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced Silva deceased at the scene.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Investigators say the GMC driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Authorities have not provided additional information, and further investigation is still ongoing.
