Man and Woman Dead, Another Hospitalized after Two-Car Crash near Bear Valley Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (December 31, 2024) – Saturday, Josephine Perez and one other person were killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 395. 

Authorities responded to the scene around 11:35 p.m., near Bear Valley Road.

Police officers say the driver of a gray Hyundai Sonata collided with a white Kia Forta in the northbound lanes of the highway. 

Medical responders pronounced a woman and a second male victim deceased at the scene. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased woman as 53-year-old Perez, of Hesperia. 

Paramedics also airlifted a third victim to a trauma center for further treatment of unspecified injuries. 

Victorville Officials closed a portion of US Highway 395 between Bear Valley and La Mesa Road for investigation. Anyone who witnessed the two-vehicle crash is encouraged to contact Deputy R. Castillo or Deputy C. Stanley at the Victorville Police Station.
