44-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Westfield

SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 26, 2024) – Friday morning, a pedestrian accident on Historic Old Highway 90 killed Benita Munoz.

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m., near Westfield and Arvil Avenue on December 13th.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the driver of a vehicle hit Munoz on the highway in an unmarked crosswalk.

Due to the impact of the crash, 44-year-old Munoz suffered life-threatening injuries, which she later succumbed to.

Moreover, the driver was questioned and cooperated with troopers. The driver stated that the area was dark at that time.

No charges were expected to be filed against the driver, and further investigation is still ongoing.
