Four Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Greenway Avenue
TURLOCK, CA (December 23, 2024) – Sunday, Daniel, Madelynn, and Jennifer Lourenco, and Uriel Negrete died in a 2-car crash on Highway 165.
Authorities responded to the scene around 9:25 a.m., near Greenway Avenue.
California Highway Patrol officers say the male driver of a speeding Infiniti sedan broadsided a Jeep SUV that was crossing the intersection.
First responders pronounced the Infiniti driver, 22-year-old Uriel Guizar Negrete, dead at the scene.
Paramedics also declared the Jeep driver – Daniel Lourenco, 44, and his female passenger, Jennifer Lourenco, 45 – deceased at the scene.
The teenage girl in the backseat of the Jeep, identified as 16-year-old Madelynn Lourenco, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. A 19-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy from Turlock were also hospitalized in critical condition.
At this time, the CHP is working to determine if drugs and alcohol contributed to the crash.
