One Dead, Another Seriously Injured in High-Speed Collision near 13th Avenue

HANFORD, CA (December 19, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, a woman was killed and a man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Fargo Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene just after midnight near 13th Avenue. 

Based on the initial investigation, a 2021 Toyota 4Runner failed to stop at the intersection while going at a high rate of speed. 

Consequently, the Toyota collided with a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse traveling northbound on 13th Avenue. Responding emergency personnel pronounced the female Chevrolet driver dead at the scene. Her name has not been released to the public at this time.

Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the male 4Runner driver to Kaweah Health in Visalia for further treatment of major injuries. 

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, Hanford Officials continue to investigate the fatal two-vehicle crash on Fargo Avenue. Once available, more details will be provided.
