22-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Construction Incident near Cardinals Way

GLENDALE, AZ (December 19, 2024) – Monday morning, Tyrone Wilson was fatally injured in a work accident on Loop 101.

Authorities responded to VAI Resort on Loop 101 near Cardinals Way after receiving reports of an incident at a construction site.

Investigators say Wilson fell about six stories from the construction site at the resort on Monday morning.

Emergency responders found 22-year-old Wilson unresponsive at the scene. Despite their efforts to revive him, medical personnel later pronounced him dead.

Glendale police stated that no criminal activity is suspected, and authorities are still investigating further details leading up to the crash. In addition, the state’s worker safety agency, ADOSH, has announced that they are conducting an investigation into the incident.
