19-Year-Old San Diego Motorcyclist Dies in High-Speed Collision near Scott Road

MENIFEE, CA (December 19, 2024) – Saturday evening, Gabriel Ruiz Valles was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 215.

First responders arrived to the southbound lanes of the freeway around 8:30 p.m., just north of Scott Road.

For reasons under investigation, a man riding a 2021 Aprilia RS 660 hit the back of a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro that was traveling ahead of the motorcycle. 

Authorities claimed the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed, ejecting the rider upon impact. Responding paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Camaro stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Menifee officials later identified the deceased rider as 19-year-old Valles, of San Diego.
