Hong Ngoc Nguyen Dead, Timothy Bradford Cole Arrested after Pursuit Crash on Ellis Avenue [Fountain Valley, CA]
25-Year-Old Female Passenger Killed Two-Vehicle Collision near Magnolia Street
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (December 17, 2024) – Monday, Hong Ngoc Nguyen died and Timothy Bradford Cole was arrested after a crash on Ellis Avenue.
Police officers initially received reports at the 18000 block of Arches Court, near Adobe River Avenue.
According to police, a man set a bush on fire causing it to spread into nearby homes. Around 10:00 p.m., authorities spotted the suspect getting into an unoccupied white Dodge Ram and fleeing the scene.
As a result, the pursuit began until the suspect collided with a white BMW X3 at the Ellis Avenue and Magnolia Street intersection.
Paramedics arrived and transported three people occupying the BMW to a local trauma center with serious injuries.
Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the female passenger inside the BMW deceased. Authorities later identified the deceased woman as a 25-year-old Vietnamese tourist, Hong Ngoc Nguyen.
The suspect, 43-year-old Timothy Bradford Cole from Huntington Beach, was hospitalized in a trauma center in Long Beach. The OC District Attorney’s Office charged Cole with several charges, including one count of murder.
