30-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Single-Vehicle Collision near Willcox
COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (December 16, 2024) – Monday evening, Sonia DeJesus-Laureano was killed in a solo-car accident on North Fort Grant Road.
Around 6:00 p.m., police officers responded to the scene near Willcox on November 25th.
Investigators say a woman was driving north and lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn. The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office arrived and found the SUV overturned on the road.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced the female driver dead at the scene. Authorities later identified her as 30-year-old DeJesus-Laureano.
At this time, authorities have yet to determine the factors leading to the crash, and an active investigation is ongoing.
