Modesto Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian vs Truck Crash near Santa Ana Avenue
MODESTO, CA (December 16, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a pedestrian collision on Yosemite Boulevard claimed the life of a man using a wheelchair.
The collision was reported shortly after 6:00 a.m., in the area of Yosemite Boulevard and Santa Ana Avenue.
According to the police report, an eastbound truck on Yosemite Boulevard hit a man attempting to cross in a marked crosswalk. Investigators say the man was in his wheelchair at the time of the incident.
Responding emergency personnel transported the male pedestrian to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased victim’s name remains undisclosed to the public as of Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, the truck driver stayed at the site of the crash and cooperated with the investigators.
