53-Year-Old Royals Oaks Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Pinto Lake Road
WATSONVILLE, CA (December 12, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Green Valley Road.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m., near Pinto Lake Road.
According to the initial report, the driver of a southbound gray 2006 Toyota Camry struck a woman who was walking in the area. However, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Responding medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. Officers only identified the deceased victim as a 53-year-old woman from Royal Oaks.
Police said the 35-year-old man from Freedom driving the Camry stayed at the crash site and cooperated with authorities.
Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the collision. The California Highway Patrol will provide more information about the Green Valley Road pedestrian crash after concluding the investigation.
